I love the size of this voucher card – 140mm x 60mm is similar to the size of a cheque and really easy to handle. It’s lots bigger than a business card but way more affordable than a rack card. It looks FABULOUS as a voucher or coupon – I’ve had good feedback on the ‘cash’ image cards some customers have ordered. Think of a special promotion or campaign you could offer your customers on redemption of a voucher like this and contact me for a free design mock-up. My special price for May is only $25.50 for 100 cards (HALF PRICE!).
We know we need to talk to people, so let’s look at a situation we all find ourselves in when we attempt to speak with someone we don’t know. Place and time: an elevator in a professional office building, late afternoon. You get on the elevator, push the button for your floor, and watch the numbered lights flick on as you climb. What’s on your mind? Things you need to take care of at work before 5pm; what you might have for dinner that night; weekend plans. Then suddenly the elevator stops. It’s not your floor. The doors slide open and there is a woman: “Going up?” she asks, as she steps in. You smile politely and nod. She pushes the button for her floor, and the doors begin to close.

At 211 degrees, water is hot.
At 212 degrees, it boils.
And with boiling water comes steam.
And with steam, you can power a train.
In 212° the extra degree, we learn the key to achieving results beyond our wildest expectations. It is this surprisingly simple metaphor that has motivated millions to reach for the stars. I’m sharing an excerpt from 212° the extra degree that will inspire you to take action and implement the 212° philosophy into your own life…the results will be exponential! What would you call people who can: help keep on track; boost your confidence; finally make working fun? You might call them “miracle workers.” We call them Buddies! Most people make the mistake of going it alone. Sometimes, it’s just too tough to stay consistent by yourself. But a Buddy won’t let you quit. Buddies are two or more people who commit to helping each other reach consistent goals with friendly encouragement and regular contact. [read the rest of this entry...]
You should have written out and committed to memory, the best closing questions that you’ve ever heard, because when you are closing a new consultant, you do not want to be stuck searching for the right thing to say. It is my strong recommendation that you ask questions. You can tell someone all the benefits of becoming a consultant and they can listen to you and nod their head and think to themselves, “O.K. but that’s just your opinion.” They have not “bought in” to what you are saying. With some help from Consultants, I’m designing an entry form box with entry note pads. Here is a photo of the sample box as it looks at the moment:
The text above the entry slot says:
“You may only enter the drawing once every calendar month. You will be contacted at the beginning of the next calendar month if you win. GOOD LUCK!”
Here is a close up of the entry form:
It would be great to get your feedback so we can tweak this to suit the majority of people.
Have you seen the latest Plastic Box specials? There are some interesting little cosmetic/jewellery storage solutions that might work for you!
How many times have you heard someone else or found yourself saying this… ”She could be so good in this business – if she only applied herself” That’s one of the most dangerous things you can ever say or do in your business – go looking for women who could do so well. Here’s the problem – if you set your recruiting radar to find women who have the skills to do well in this business, you won’t filter anyone out! The only actual talent someone needs in order to be successful in Mary Kay is the ability to communicate. The desire and willingness to do what it takes to succeed are really what separate people and determines how far someone will go.

Don’t miss the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation specials at your local Paper Plus (until November 16) – everything is PINK!

It’s been a busy week for orders (mainly Christmas items!) and so many creative ideas from hard-working Mary Kay consultants. I was invited to a local MK Star Winners success dinner this week – mainly because everyone at the table had used LovePink printed material and was keen to talk about other products to help them sell sell sell and book book book.
I have added different sized stickers to the webstore – including one for the back of your Look Books.

I’m really thrilled about the perforated FREE MAKEOVER cards and they are already a top seller. Planning has begun for a men’s version and variations of each will be added over time. Thanks for your email suggestions too – it’s so helpful to have real world advice and then to evaluate how much your business increased due to using professional tools and resources.

I’m ready to brainstorm with you to discuss what printed material you find most useful in generating sales or sign-ups. Do you have a particular size and shape of invitation that works best? If you could identify your most successful promotional item – what would it be? What would you like to change about it to make it even MORE successful?
What do you print off on your own computer that LovePink could design, print and send to you for less than it costs to replace your printer cartridge and buy repacement paper or cardboard? Email Adrienne through the contact form and let’s start building your business together.
